ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Barcelona imploded yet again on the European stage as they dropped a two-goal lead against Paris Saint-Germain in their quarter-final clash earlier this month. The catalyst for the turnaround was Araujo's red card just before the half-hour mark as he brought down Barcola just outside the box as the last man. The PSG forward has now revealed that he knew Araujo could be forced into making a mistake against him.

WHAT BARCOLA SAID
Speaking to French publication RMC Sport, Barcola said: "I knew that Araujo was going very quickly. On this action, I told myself that I was going to pass in front of him because in the first leg, I had a somewhat similar action, but I hadn't passed well in front. So he had caught me there, I told myself that I was going to pass directly in front of him and I knew that he could either make a mistake or I would go one against one.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Barcola not only had Araujo sent off, but he also set up the equalizer on the night for former Barcelona man, Ousmane Dembele to kick off the Parisians' four-goal rally as they went on to win the tie 6-4 after having lost the home leg 3-2 thanks to an inspired performance by Raphinha. Kylian Mbappe also scored twice but it was Barcola's action that took all the headlines for its game-changing nature.
