Pioli arrived as Al-Nassr's new manager in September last year, replacing Luis Castro after a disappointing campaign. However, the former AC Milan boss failed to win any silverware during the 2024-25 season, finishing third in the Saudi Pro League alongside failures in the Kings Cup and AFC Champions League.

Pioli is expected to return to Italy after his venture to the Middle East, with the Fiorentina job waiting for him back in his homeland. Al-Nassr, meanwhile, need to recruit a new manager, with Sergio Conceicao, a former teammate of Ronaldo, linked with a move to Al-Awwal Park.

A statement from Al-Nassr reads: "Al Nassr Club Company informs that Mr Pioli and his Staff are no more the acting coaching staff of the first team.
"We would like to thank Mr Pioli and his staff for their dedicated work during the past season."

WHAT NEXT FOR AL-NASSR?
Ronaldo will now soon be working with a fifth manager in two-and-a-half years at Al-Nassr, with the 2025-26 Saudi Pro League season starting in August.
