Manchester City have been hit with a huge blow as defender Nathan Ake was stretchered off while playing for the Netherlands against Germany.

Ake was visibly emotional as he was stretchered off during the Netherlands' Nations League clash with Germany on Tuesday. The Manchester City defender pulled up with what appeared to be a hamstring problem and looked to be in agony. A stretcher was quickly called and the defender seemed distraught as he was taken off the pitch.

Ake will now undergo tests to determine the severity of his injury, and Manchester City will be sweating on the results. The Premier League champions are facing a hectic schedule after the international break with games against Brentford, Inter, Arsenal, Watford and Newcastle to come before the end of the month.
